John F. Kennedy assassinated

November 22, 1963, the 35th president of the United States was assassinated at age 46 while traveling through the streets of Dallas, Texas along with first lady Jacqueline Kennedy, Texas Governor John Connally and his wife. As their Lincoln convertible drove passed the Texas School Book Depository Building, Lee Harvey Oswald fired three shots that fatally wounded President Kennedy, who was pronounced dead thirty minutes later. Oswald was arrested later on the same day.
