23 Days to Launching!

Company History:

As a junior in high school, company founder, Matthew Capeletti, realized that many of his peers were struggling from a lack of supplementary educational resources and he wanted to provide them with a free alternative that they could rely on after school. And thus, the idea for was born. The organization began operating in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, in September of 2006, and underwent a period of slow, but constant, growth. By early 2008, employed 35 volunteer tutors and had hundreds of chat requests. That same year, the organization received the prestigious Silver Knight Award in the category of General Scholarship for outstanding community service. Soon after, temporarily paused operations in order to restructure and remodel the entire program, leading company directors to actively seek an entrepreneurial incubator to guide the remodeling process. In 2009, was a semi-finalist at the Dell Social Innovation Competition and later that year, the company found the support it needed by joining the Wharton Venture Initiation Program, an umbrella of Wharton Entrepreneurial Programs.
